How to babysit 6 uncontrollable kids?

my parents and relatives have that kind of party all the time, i always get stuck with 6+ kids, which i dont mind because i love kids. they are probably acting that way because they sound like they are probably bored out their minds. wouldnt you be if you were a little kid and your parents bring you somewhere that you dont want to go and stick you in a room with no entertainment. at first i hated it, because i didnt feel like being the baby sitter when i was little, but now, im 17, i actually have fun when they bring them over now, they are like my little minions, they think im their leader and do anything i ask. whenever they bring them over, the first thing i do is a hour before they come, i completely kidproof my room. i take anything that could be broken or messed up (homework, artwork, fragile things) and put it away where they cant get to it. then i only put out soft things that wont hurt if they whack you with it. they probably dont want a puzzle or scrabble, too boring, they want to run around and have fun. make up games for them to play, like simon says, red light green light, the floor is made of lava, that kind of thing. show them that you are their friend and leader and they will start looking up too you and listening instead of taking out their boredom on you. have fun art projects for them, like have them make drawings and glue the drawings to clean smooth rocks, so they can make paperweights and decorations. the kids im with love that. if they get jumpy and start hitting and get out of hand, i first give them a warning, which they usually listen to, and if they dont stop i tell them they cant play anymore until they can be nice. see if you can take them outside in the backyard and plan a water balloon fight, capture the flag, red rover, secret mission, lots of fun games that they wont get bored with. teach them things, like cats cradle.
