How to improve in SAT Critical Reading?

I'm taking the SAT's again in November. My last score was a 1680 and I definetly feel the need to do better next time. My goal is a 2100 (or better!) but I notice that my weak spot is in criticial reading. I read a lot, but comprehension has always been a problem for me since I was little and I don't understand why. What are some tips when reading pages and answering questions?
