Don't people who answer phones for Suicide Hotline get tired of listening to people whine all the time?

it would get on my nerves listening to people threaten to kill themselves, because if they were really serious they wouldn't take the time to call a hotline they would just get down to it. i think its just alot of lonely people who want to think there is "somebody" out there who cares whether they live or die.
